Yipppeeeee-Ki-Yay, it’s Christmas Day

 The day has finally come,

The homes are decorated,

The Christmas trees are filled with lights,

The festivities are on and everything is bright,

The shepherds and the Magi have seen the light.

The birth of the Christ child is celebrated today,

Yipppeeeee-Ki-Yay, it's Christmas Day.

The gifts are decorated around the tree,

As children dance around in glee.

The baubles are colorful and bright,

The colors sparkle with the lights.

The Christmas feeling is in the air today.

The children are laughing and playing today,

Yipppeeeee-Ki-Yay, it's Christmas Day.

The Christmas logs and the chicken roast,

Are placed on the large filled dining tables,

A good break from sausage, eggs, and toast.

The mince pies and the cakes are on display,

In the large shop windows on Christmas day.

The young and the old are celebrating today,

Yipppeeeee-Ki-Yay, it's Christmas Day.

Snow is falling and the city is a pristine white,

Children play in the snow with fun and delight.

The Christmas spirits are joyful and free,

With lovely decorations around the tree.

The love of Christmas joy is in the air today,

Yipppeeeee-Ki-Yay, it's Christmas Day.

Today is Christmas Eve, Christmas is a few hours away

The homes are decorated,

The Christmas trees are lit,

Even the family pet has a place to sit.

The gifts are brightly packed,

The lights are sparkling and bright,

Growing in luminosity in the night.

If you are dancing on a table or on the ceiling,

We all remember the Christmas Eve feeling.

A couple of hours and it will come,

The best day of the year for mankind.

Christmas day is just a day away,

Start the festivities from today.

Who can ever forget that feeling,

Just waiting for Christmas day.

The magic of that special feeling,

Never does it go away.

If you are dancing on a table or on the ceiling,

We all remember the Christmas Eve feeling.

Regardless of the age and the time,

There is something special on Christmas Eve,

As you hear the Church bells chime.

We know that Santa is delivering gifts,

As children sleep with their eyes half-open,

Through Christmas Eve night.

The magic of Christmas fills the world,

As we wait for the birth of Jesus,

The light and savior of a lost world.

Christmas Eve is so special today,

As we wait in expectation for Christmas Day.

If you are dancing on a table or on the ceiling,

We all remember the Christmas Eve feeling,

When the world comes alive and is healing.

Last Christmas Eve, The roads were silent

Last Christmas Eve,
Not a bird flew in the sky,
Not a family walked by.
Not a cat prowled the street,
Not a child wanted a treat.
There was no cloud in the sky,
There were no stars that night.
Last Christmas Eve,
The world was in silence.
Last Christmas Eve,
Our hearts were silent too.
In silence there was joy,
On the birth of the newborn boy.
Last Christmas Eve,
Not a soul walked the silent street,
There were no friends to meet.
Last Christmas Eve,
There were no gifts around the tree,
There were no choirs singing,
There were no church bells ringing.
Last Christmas Eve,
Is a sad memory for children,
There were no gifts and no joy,
On the birth of the tiny boy.
Last Christmas Eve,
We all wish to forget,
With its sadness and its regret.
Last Christmas Eve will remain,
Locked in the portals of time,
Never to return to humanity again.
