Books2Read- New Year Odyssey

New Year Odyssey is an original poem by Warren Brown. This is a poem of hope during these times of crisis. We are all learning a new way of living. Our lives will never be the same again. This poem is a document of the present and will provide a beacon of hope as humanity moves towards the future.

The seas have been rough and wild,

The weather has been stormy and cold,

The sails of our ships have been ripped to shreds,

Our vessels have been battered in the fiercest gales,

But we still journey on this Odyssey towards the New Year.

This voyage has not been calm and peaceful,

It has been a savage voyage on rough and dangerous seas.

Many have lost their lives on this journey,

The elements have been cruel and harsh,

The enemy has been brutal and ruthless.

The blue skies have gone and so has the sun,

The skies have now turned to grey,

When will our skies turn to blue?

Perhaps, only when the bad times fade away.
