The weather has been stormy and cold,
The sails of our ships have been ripped to shreds,
Our vessels have been battered in the fiercest gales,
But we still journey on this Odyssey towards the New Year.

Happy New Year 2015
It is the beginning of a New Year 2015 and we all wait expectantly to watch the year unfold. This is the best time to start working towards fulfilling your dreams and the best way to begin is by doing just something small every day and continuing for the rest of the year.
Here is a short list of a few things you can start today and then continue throughout the year.
1. Write a poem or a short story a day. You could write a page of a novel a day.
2. Create a piece of art like a sketch a day
3. Write a lyric or a song a day
4. Learn a new hobby starting today.
5. Learn to speak a foreign language.
6. Help someone today and become a volunteer.
7. Become a Mentor or a Life Coach and share your wisdom and talents.
8. Try to be a better person by doing something positive in the world.
9. Start a club or group for something you are interested in doing.
10. Learn to enjoy life and to help others on their way through life.
11. Challenge yourself to think outside-the-box and to believe in your own abilities and the power of one person to make a positive difference in the world today.

The Calcutta Christmas Visit 2013
I have just returned after a Christmas visit to Calcutta. We flew by Emirates Airline and changed at Dubai before flying to Kolkata.
Dubai has a large and impressive looking airport with a big selection of shops for Duty free section to browse through and to buy from as passengers pass through.
My wife and I had a great time celebrating Christmas and the New Year with family and friends.I got a chance to visit a number of places of interest in the city.

The New Kolkata is growing and developing on the fringes of the Old Calcutta, with multi-storeyed buildings for offices, residences, industrial estates and a growing number of Malls.My wife and I had time to spend time with our two Godsons Ashton and Logan Domingo. I had an opportunity to spend valuable time with my Dad Melvyn Brown, to meet old friends and to taste some of the culinary delights of the city, like Moghlai parathas, Aloo (Potato) rolls, chicken liver rolls, puchkas and a variety of Biryanis. We had a Christmas and New Year worth remembering. I even had enough photos and videos from our trip to make three short films based on Logan's Birthday party, time spent with Dad and a movie on our Calcutta trip.

A New Year is Born by Warren Brown
Today, is not just any morn,
No, it is the day the New Year was born.
What type of year will it be?
Will it be filled with fumbles and rumbles
In genetic science and technology?
Or will it be a year when Man and Woman
Change the course of evolving human History?
As the Seasons will come
And the Seasons will go,
The New Year will begin with a shine
Then gradually lose its lustrous glow.
Every New Year has its story to tell
Which begins with the Midnight bell.
Every New Year has its lessons,
Its judgments and its rewards.
But, the best way the celebrate the New Year
Is with joy, expectancy and good cheer.
What will the New Year hold for you?
Will you be drinking Champagne,
On your own private plane?
Or will you be sipping cold tea,
And munching on a bit of dried turkey?
Regardless of what the New Year may hold
Always remember to walk tall and be bold.
Strive hard for success and you will find
A treasure of happiness and a goldmine.
Expect to put in your best in everything you do
And a successful life will be offered to you.
As the Earth celebrates the maize and the corn,
The ever changing and fascinating dusk and dawn,
Celebrate the coming of the promising morn,
As a New Year filled with great opportunities is born.

The New Year Guardian
In a parallel universe in a world very much like ours, a million light years and multi-dimensions away, yet closer to us than we can imagine, the people await the arrival of their New Year Guardian, as the old year comes to an end.
On this world, called Earth-sphere, in a parallel universe the Guardian Angel is very real. Every person has a guardian Angel who comes to his or her rescue, when there are problems. While there are evil angels, who can affect a person, only when they overcome the guardian angel of protection.
Sam who is just an ordinary young boy, was rescued as a baby, from the edge of the window-sill, where he was saved from falling off, by his guardian angel. Heather and Jonathan were saved from a serious car accident, when they were saved by their guardian angels.
On Earth-sphere Guardian Angels can be seen by ordinary people, while the evil angels can be seen as well. Guardian Angels are the very reality of existence for the people on Earth-Sphere.
Today is New Year’s Eve on Earth-sphere and Sam is waiting for his Guardian Angel, who has been with him the whole year, to step out through the Door of Light and return renewed and refreshed as the New Year Angel.
As the clock strikes 12 midnight, Sam’s Guardian Angel, a tall white shimmering figure, who floats above the ground with his long robes and white large white feathery wings, waves at him before stepping into the Door of Light. Within a few seconds, the New Year Guardian Angel steps back through the Door of Light, with a warm smile on his face and ready to protect Sam throughout the New Year.
On our world, we do not see our Guardian Angels and we even doubt their existence. In order for Guardian Angels to become a reality we need to cultivate that all important ingredient, we need to believe in Guardian Angels. Believe and all things are possible, even Guardian Angels!

Essential Features of Your New Year Resolution
a. It should be interesting
b. It should not be too time consuming
c. It should be something which you had wanted to do for some time
d. It should be realistic
e. It should be achievable by you
f. It should be humanly possible
g. You should be willing to ask for assistance in order to achieve this goal
h. You should be willing to inform your family and friends about your New Year resolutions, if it involves them, so that they can support you in fulfilling your objective
i. You need to be enthusiastic about this resolution
j. You should be willing to set aside time in order to achieve this objective
k. You should be willing to accept defeat or failure in achieving this goal, yet to be able to learn from this experience
l. You need to reward yourself after the successful achievement of your resolution. Celebrate your accomplishment
m. Get inspiration and motivation in order to keep you focussed throughout the year.
n. Learn from your mistakes and make them learning experiences.
o. Assist others in accomplishing their goals and resolutions
