Immortal Mortals

This is an interesting collection of nine short stories which contain a variety of themes and situations. The first story is the New Year Guardian and helps to think about Guardian Angels. Immortal Mortals is about the story of a roadside artist and a librarian and how life can change one stroke at a time. There is a small collection of Christmas stories each having a little hint of the Spirit of Christmas in our lives. The Last Hunter and The Rebel and the Princess of Kashmir are set in Colonial British India. This is a period I like to read and write about, having grown up in India and belonging to the Anglo-Indian community. Anglo-Indians are the only minority Indian community in India of British Indian origins, who have English as their Mother tongue and who are Christians. The collection ends with the Christmas Time Traveller, where the magic of Christmas goes time travelling.

Rest in Peace Whitney Houston!

I watched the funeral of Whitney Houston and realized that although we may think "Death has Won", Whitney will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who love her, from her fans worldwide to her family.
Rest in Peace Whitney!

Use Your Money for the Common Good Starting Today

Everyone deserves to have a proper human existence in life and to enjoy all that life has to offer. It is time that more of us start to use our money for the good of humanity. If you happen to know of a cause or person who needs your help and support, then this is the time to use your  money to help them out. Money is important for our life, but it is not the most important thing for a human being. Those who use money for fulfilling their necessities, acquiring reasonable comforts and for the welfare of a common good, are the masters of money. I Believe that we can all use Money as an instrument to make the world a better place for humanity.

Free Running or Parkour

Parkour or Free running is a great sport which originated in France and I wish to do it someday soon. So what is Parkour or Free Running? Parkour (abbreviated PK) is a training method which focuses on rational movement in both the natural and urban environments. The focus is to move around obstacles with speed and efficiency. Developed in France, the main purpose of the discipline is to teach participants how to move through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing and jumping. Parkour practitioners are known as traceurs. They train to be able to identify and utilize alternate, more efficient paths. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles offer many training opportunities.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour

Be Happy- The Jasmine Birtles Way

Jasmine Birtles on Being Happy: The newspapers and magazines usually have an article or two on how to be happy at this time. The answers are usually the same too – spend more time with family and those you love, go to church, eat more greens, get more exercise, go to bed earlier and get more sleep, volunteer, have a hobby, do things that are out of your comfort zone and so on.
